still touring with only Angus left.... kind of a rip off.... they need to get Phil Rudd back.. he is the driving force of the band and a great live drummer. I love the band but I don't like the current lineup

Angus is the driving force of the band. Its always been him and Malcolm. Johnson's been there over 30 years now and is way more popular than Bonn Scott ever was. I think he's established himself as the permanent singer.

Funny to see this here today--I listened to "High Voltage" in its entirety last night and read the entire Wiki bio on the band.

Think about it--a hard rock band in 1975 jamming bagpipes!!

Malcolm is suffering from a bad case of dimentia--the word "Alzheimer's" hasn't been used yet, but I understand that his short term memory is shot and he can't remember how to play songs he rehearsed just 2 days earlier.

I've been an AC/DC fan since the Bon Scott days. I can't say I have any interest in them this late in the game. Rudd is a very underestimated key element in their sound and so is Malcolm. With both of them gone it might get over on a surface level but that locked-in swing in the rhythm section just won't be the same. And the Young brothers' interplay is pretty much their signature. It's not complicated but they have a very identifiable sound.

They are probably the biggest examples of "often imitated, never duplicated" in the music world and you simply aren't going to be able to plug in replacement players and yield the same magic IMO.

I really hate not seeing all original lineups but I will reluctantly let this pass. Malcolm can't play anymore due to health issues & Phil is just being Phil in New Zealand so due to his legal issues he is out. They have Chris Slade back on drums & he was with them in the 90's so it is not like they just brought someone in from off the street. Stevie Young is taking over for Malcom & he is thier nephew who somehow looks just as old as they are.

I am seeing them for the first time in Dallas Tuesday night so I will have to give a review. I have looked at YouTube footage & the set list for this tour is great. Very excited about this despite no Malcolm or Phil. There is no way they are touring again after this.

There is an opening band? What is the name of the band? I have looked all over websites for Ticketmaster & the AAC & they don't mention anything about an opening band.
