If I dont buy tickets for late nights before I go, am I going to get shut out? Or are there going to be lots of places that I can just walk in?

The final price for the MeterMen+Page show is $83

I am fine with paying that, but I doubt any of my friends are. For almost a third of the price Anders and Rebirth may be the solution.

MeterMen+Page will definitely sell out. Other shows will be pretty safe.

That said- this year could be different with the Phish fans in town.

Im gonna buy tickets for that when they go on sale. Everything else I plan on winging it. My group is a little different than my normal phish crew so not everyone is going to want to do the same stuff late night.

Yep.

$75 without fees, $83 total

I saw the same show at the same venue last year and I think it was $65 total.

eta: it was definitely worth it. Phish and The Meters are both top 10 bands for me (probably both top 5 in a live setting, obviously Phish for #1) so it was a no-brainer. It is just different this year because I will have a bunch of people staying at my house and I have already seen the show.

$80+ for the Meter Men is a joke but people will pay it so...?

It was $25 in '09 with Page at Tips.

You mean '08? FWIW that was Porter-Batiste-Stoltz not The Meter Men.

and like you, I love the Meters almost more than any band but $80 is to steep for what they are putting out these days.

I'd rather see PBS. Leo's guitar playing is not for me these days.

I promise I'll stop bitching about ticket prices here soon. Forgive me.

Damn, I can't remember that '09 show at all. I remember 2008 because I saw him at the Fairgrounds with PBS and Widespread Panic. That was when Phish was still on hiatus so I was super stoked.

They played Cars, Trucks and Buses

That's about the extent of what I remember.

Which shows are you all going to see.

$83 is a steal for Saturday night cause they got the hottest band south of Vermont to open up for them. I just hope the souls don't steal the whole show, but they are nice guys and i'm sure they will leave a little something for Page and The Meter Men.

The souls is what the cool kids are calling The London Souls as they travel America stealing hearts and blowing minds.

Well now that the majority of late nights are in place (minus the Maple Leaf), what is the show you are most excited for?

Mine is a band from Burlington,Vermont called Phish. They are playing the Acura stage on the first Saturday afternoon.

My tentative first weekend schedule:

Fri - Fest & Howlin Wolf (I may double down on meter men)
Sat - Fest - The Phish & then The London Souls at The Republic, Meter Men will play the after party
Sun - Fest & then The Word at Joy

The Phish I am probably most excited for overall, followed by Santana, Robert Plant, The London Souls, Clapton,
