ruined the concert for me. got in a fight with this fat piece of shite that busted my lip open. i punched him in his throat and he was done.

That was my plan for the fat frick we are all talking about. I was a good 6 inches taller than him. He kept pushing my group from behind, hit the back of my head after I asked him to quit (when he would put his arms in the air) and screamed in my ear. I told my brother the next time he got close I was going to put my elbow across his jaw and end it. Would have taken less than three seconds. Security came a moment later and throttled him before he could get to our group again.

Anyone ever get arrested for something like that at a show? That was my only concern at that point, as well as my group. No one wanted me to go to jail. I have a mortgage, job, and small kids. LOL

You've done it now EZE, you made a Deftones thread go 11 pages. The Earth may stop spinning at any moment.

I assume you were the guy in the white tee and your brother was the smaller guy in the tuque trying to talk you into it...

I straight knocked out a drunk at a Jerry Jeff Walker concert at the Varsity years ago. Belligerently slamming into everyone and kept hitting the chick I was with. I warned him twice then put an elbow into his cheekbone when it wasn't enough. He was hammered and just crumpled. I've never seen anything like it. I was just trying to let him feel it. Anyway, as soon as he dropped, the chick grabbed me and pulled me out. Security had absolutely no idea, they were escorting out an extremely drunk chick. About 10 minutes later, the same drunk chick sideswiped me on Highland and fled the scene.

But Jimmy Hendrix and Dwayne Almond never bought a Deftones album.

Nope. My brother and I are both six feet tall. We both had on dark pull overs. He was talking me out of it, actually. Like I said, we are both level-headed. Both have kids, jobs, house notes, etc. Didn't want to go to jail for clobbering a fat slob at a Deftones concert, but I had had enough. The older I get the more I hate kids stepping on my lawn.

Yup. You carried my plan out to a tee. Literally. That was what I was going to do. Painless for everyone involved, even the fat slob that would be knocked out.

Oh that's brutal. I hate people in general already. That would put me over the edge.

I'm right there with you. I actually got to the point where I handed my beer off to the guy next to me. When I turned around, both fatty and the Tooltool had backed off. For the rest of the show, every time I looked behind me, Tooltool would like eyes with me with this "I didn't do nothing" look on his face.

That's just the start of it. I reeked of pot from the JJW show and the cop was a real dick. I tried to repeat the license plate phonetically to him and he basically told me to shut up. Well, BVD became BGD and I get a call the next day that no car like that existed. I had to call in a favor to a family friend who worked at LSP. In 30 seconds, she was calling the guy working the case with the lady's full name and address.

When they took her statement, she said she wasn't drunk and remembers seeing "parts flying off" of her car, but didn't think she hit anybody. She had sobered up at that point, but they did charge her with leaving the scene.

Tooltool actually was cool to our group after the first incident. He pulled fatty away and apologized. I think he was geniunely trying to avoid conflict, but realized he couldn't control is fat friend.

I just don't get it, I guess. Why run into the back of people who aren't doing anything to you? Especially a group with two females in it.

I think it was around 2001. You didn't see it happen, did you?

eta - It had to be 2001 or later, because that chick turned 18 that year.

I used to play in a local cover band and we opened for JJW at the Varsity. lol. I think it was earlier, though...like '99.

We all must have been within about a ten foot radius of each other. We needed some of those "Hello My Name Is" sticky tags with our td usernames on them.

Funny, My wife and I were next to the stairs to the right of the mixing boards. That guy was doing work on the lights. Had some groupie chick with him letting her press some buttons. He also got on to some dude who was on his phone playing Words with Friends in the middle of the show. Which one of you was that?

Words with Friends? LOL

I'd much rather that, though, than the fifteen people in front of me hold up their cell phones videoing the entire show.
