Greatest to me does not mean best pure talent. So the absolute greatest 5 in no order not including rap and hip hop because flow ability is a whole different category:

Bruce Dickenson
Freddie Mercury
David Gilmour
David Bowie
Brian Johnson

I don't know some of these people.

Tom Jones I do know.... not a fan.

An overlooked voice of the past, though, because his hits were mostly crap, is Paul Anka. He appeared on Americal Idol one season and blew those contestants away.
