Before his show he said something about being happy that the people that showed up (you could walk right up to the front, NO ONE was there because Pretty Lights was at the same time) were interested in watching a real DJ actually do something on stage. It was boss.

One of the greatest.
From listening to records I just knew what to do
I mainly taught myself
And, you know, I did pretty well
Except there were a few mistakes
But um, that I made, uh
That I've just recently cleared up
And I'd like to just continue to be able to express myself
As best as I can with this instrument
And I feel like i have a lot of work to do
Still, I'm a student - of the drums
And I'm also a teacher of the drums too
He goes nuts
what up DH

My favorite shadow records are brain freeze and product placement with cut chemist.
I'd rather listen to rjd2's older stuff and z-trip over shadow for the most part.

He put out some god-awful rap-ish album a few years back, and I haven't really given him another chance since then. "Introducing" is undeniably timeless & epic, but I don't know what the hell he was thinking with that rap-ish release. Anyone know if he's tried to make-up for it?

Yeah, The Outsider came out when I was really getting into Shadow and I was disappointed to say the least. The Private Press is pretty good and so are his live sets. Endtroducing... is obviously a classic.

Damnit, I knew I was fricking-up the spelling of "Endtroducing". Stupid sinus infection.
I'll have to check-out "The Private Press", but holy shite if he doesn't have a hell of a lot of ground to make-up after that rap disaster.
