While you boys were in birmigham meeting up with randos on grindr and listening to that pussy sturgis shite, the florida georgia line boys burned the wharf to the fricking ground

Until Sturgill installs a game changer like Nelly to his act, he's not any better than Kenny Chesney or Luke Bryan

I don't get the appeal. Just seemed like a run of the mill country act to me. Not bad, but not headliner material.

I've seen him once when he was more traditional style country, once with the big band, and once since he stripped it down with himself on lead. Each time has been outstanding and held up just fine in the headliner capacity.

I never knew he could play like that. He had relied on his lead guy in other acts I had seen. I came away very impressed.

"We'd play more but they won't let us."

Well, except for the concert I just saw on Sunday night, sure...

ETA: I had never heard any of his music prior to him being announced for Sloss Fest, and I thought his stuff sounded decent from what I saw online, but he just didn't do anything to separate himself from the acts who played earlier in the day. He was a solid mid-afternoon act who played as a headliner.
