Very sad indeed. I'm glad I got to see the original lineup a few times.

That sucks. Saw them several times, the first time was in 1991 with Anthrax and Megadeth on the "Clash of the Titans" tour.

Reign in Blood wasn't their first studio album. It was their first major label album but those aren't their first three studio albums.
"Slayer's first three studio albums hold the distinction of being their biggest. "Reign in Blood" (1986), "South of Heaven" (1988) and "Seasons of the Abyss" (1990) account for over 2 million of their 4.9 million albums sold in the SoundScan era (1991-present)."

The last time I saw them was with Megadeth and Anthrax, though in 2009. Still a great show.

May he rock the afterlife as he has my life.

RIP for sure!! Last I heard there was still hope for him to recover from the damn flesh-eating disease and rejoin the band. Then this from out of the blue. SUCKS!!!

RIP
His arm looked pretty rough when he came out and played the encore for the Big 4 show in Indio, CA.

He's also a much better guitar player than Kerry King. The first time I saw Slayer I was standing right in front of Jeff the whole show.

Very underrated metal guitarist. He was the main force in the band, interesting to see how they do in the future.
