So I have a source inside the local music scene, we will refer to him as "Fuzzy-Slippers",Fuzz says that tomorrow there will be an announcement involving a show at the Baton Rouge River center, in very early june. Fuzzy says that it will involve some big names in Hip-hop,some of whom I can say have been discussed here, once he says its okay I'll drop names, but it's gonna be tight.

Is it the Wayne, T.I., and Future show? To me that makes the most sense.

Agreed. I will never understand the obsession with modern rap/hip-hop. To each his own, but IMO it's absolute garbage.

Touche'

I'd be happy w/ A$AP Rocky, Kendrick, or anything of that nature.

Both of them would be big enough imo. I saw Kendrick at BUKU and there were 5k-6k people watching his set.

A$AP is on 3 or 4 songs that get regular radio rotation.

A$AP, Wiz, and Future would be NUTS.

Serious question -- has the River Center ever had a show where the performers were not washed up? That's why I felt like that Wayne tour that will be happening this summer was a viable option.

Someone current like Kendrick Lamar wouldn't be able to get booked there, IMO.

If 2 Chainz put 4,000 people in Southern's arena , KDot could do the River Center IMO.

I wish it was KDot but i doubt it.

Not even close.

Elton John just played the place. That's like comparing an orgasm to cancer.
