Give credit to him for not going the easy route - and let's be honest, Roger was never much of a singer - more of a vocal stylist in the folk tradition of singer-songwriter - Syd and David were the legitimate lead singers that went through Floyd and, Rick Wright could probably have outsung him if given the chance - he was certainly a better backing singer.

And, despite these flaws (not much of a bass player either, when you really think about it), still one of the best lyricists in rock history.
