Excellent. Watched it yesterday. Devin Townsend is a beast.

After watching that, I realized I know nothing about guitar, modes and patterns. Insane amount of talent between the three!

I never knew how much John Petrucci loves to listen to himself talk. Good lord, he hardly let anyone else get a word in.

Really wish I could have caught a show on that Dreamsonic tour with those 3.

I saw the show in NYC. I enjoyed it. DT played some things I hadn't seen live before. I like Devin's new band, every other time I've seen him it was DTP. The encore with Dream Theater and Devin singing The Spirit Carries On was pretty cool.

Interesting you mention Rick. Today is Adam Duritz‘ of Counting Crows 59th birthday. Hence the title of their 1st album August and Everything After. Which most Counting Crows fans or just fans of the album usually consider a “front-to-back” record. One where every song is great and you never skip any.
However, Rick started a series a couple years ago called “Front to Back Albums.” And the 1st one of the series is Counting Crows 2nd album Recovering the Satellites . It’s a much more raw, angry, hard rock album with a different kind of emotion than August. Anyway, if you’re interested, here it is.

Both of those CC albums are absolutely incredible. There’s not a song I cringe at or skip from either one except the radio hits for monotonous reasons.
