They've never released a greatest hits, but if they did, what 20 REM songs would be on it?
The record company has a hard limit of 20 songs.

Is this the room where the "I liked REM before they sold out and became popular" snobs are meeting?

You know what's funny to me about that?
I knew an old woman who ran a general store, one of my favorite people in the world, Her name was Ruth, but everybody called her Tine, because she was so sharp.
Back before GPS and cell phones, folks would come into her store to ask directions, but they would do the old style greetings first. She always had a witty answer with a catlike look on her face. I'm Kickin, but not too high..somethin like that..
The they would ask their directions, and she would always answer the same, with a serious look on her face " You can't get there from here, you have to go to wherever and statrt from there" she would wait for the look on their faces, turn on her smile and then help them anyway she could.
She asked me to marry her towards the end, so the family fortune wouldn't get fricked up, The grandchildren were not really related to her, and she felt that I wasn't a wasteful person.
The heirs were all friends of mine though since childhood, even though they were absolute frickups. They've wasted millions.

OK, I got to 20 without including anything from Dead letter Office, which is a shame. Crazy is their best cover, and Ages Of You is probably as good or better than anything after Life's Rich Pageant.
