8/10. Blind Melon is a criminally underrated/underappreciated band. It would have been great to see what they could have been had Shannon not passes so soon.

9/10 - That's killer stuff! Love the orchestration. I was tapping my toes and bobbing my head 1 minute into it.

Ride - Polar Bear this is the best song of the shoegaze era in my opinion

8.5/10 - Ride is damn good shoegaze but not my favorite.

8/10.

I've always kind of been on the periphery with this band. Always interested enough to give a listen (not change the station), but not engaged enough to seek out more. Nice song here.

Drivin' N' Cryin' - Straight to Hell

I never know when too familiar or too obscure.

8/10 very nice. I am putting this on my list of new artists to buy.

My Morning Jacket - Bermuda Highway

ETA: Ha! I should've been quicker on the reply. That was for The Clientele, but High C beat me to it. Sooo, Drivin N Cryin...

7/10 I used to listen to these guys a lot in the early 90s, and I have forgotten about them over the years.

7/10

Used to listen to MMJ a bit, then they just kind of lost me. Midget you don't have to be next, but you should listen to this if you like MMJ.

9/10 I like that a lot. I started listening to their other songs and am a fan. Thanks

I found it curious that M83 started playing after this song ended and they had over 22million views. Good for them, but I had no idea they were this popular. I saw them open for Interpol a few years ago in Houston, and I think I was one of maybe 20 people there who knew who they were. I guess they are more popular out of the South?

This will be my last rating for a little while, because I feel like I am starting to take over this thread. I'll let others chime in for a while.

7/10
Great bassline; I wish they'd stuck with it throughout.

7.5/10 - Never really listened to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs except for the singles from Fever to Tell but this is a pretty good song and Karen O is cool. I'll definitely have to revisit their stuff.

Not really my bag baby but I like the guitar work. Singer rubs me the wrong way but hey to each his own.

Mostly dig it. 7/10

5/10 Solid song but a bit formulaic. Not sure how I missed Kyus in my metal days, but I have never heard of them.

T-Ride - Backdoor Romeo Keeping with the metal scene, here is a great band that never made it unfortunately. They premiered at the wrong time.

4/10 - Not terrible...the vocals were a little too 80's hairband for my taste.

7.5/10 (really hard to assign a numerical value to it after one listen though, could go up after more listens. Or I suppose down too)

I liked it a good bit. It kind of reminded me of Radiohead's Climbing the Walls. Not that it really sounded like it, just that it gave off that same haunting, eerie vibe throughout.

5/10 didn't hate it, I'd have to listen a few more times. Overall, not bad.

7/10 Blind Melon is one of the greatest bands of my generation. This is a good song. Not one of their best, but a good lesser known one to post here.

8.5/10 Great track on a great album. I may have slapped a 10 on Seeing Other People from that album.

5/10. The song would be better stripped down to just guitars and no spacey synthed-in organ...or whatever.

6.5 out of 10. It has poetential to be a great song -- a mix of Lenny Kravitz and Johnny Lang. Just have to be in the right mood.

Drivin N Cryiin - Honeysuckle Blue (1989, but written and performed in 1988)
