Promoting a independent release

Recording this weekend. Am curious if anyone has had success promoting something with no label support. We’re a new band and don’t have any connections- appreciate any good ideas on how to get the music exposure after we can put on digital platforms

Are you out there playing gigs and getting to know people? It's possible to be successful without a label deal but you have to work at it. It may take a few years if you are lucky and, again, you have to work hard to meet and talk to people.

Is there even an audience for bands anymore? I'm not even asking what kind of music you play... I thought everything was rap & hick hop
