Tier Beatles
Beatles

Tier One
Led Zeppelin
The Rolling Stones
The Beach Boys
The Velvet Underground

Tier Two
Allman Brothers Band
Fleetwood Mac
Otis Redding
The Band
Jimi Hendrix
The Kinks

Tier Three
The Who
Queen
ELO
Grateful Dead
The Doors

This would probably change in 30 minutes. Hard as shite to make. Classic rock is subjective I guess.

eh, I didn't include any early 60s kind of stuff

If I did you'd have some Little Richard, Fats Domino, Otis, etc. sort of stuff to the list

Let's say music from about 67ish-77ish

I guess I can see why you wouldn't like The Doors (although I still am a big fan) but I am really surprised you don't like The Who. Who's Next and Live at Leeds are two of the greatest albums ever. Like Burt said earlier the Entwisle/Moon rhythm section is the GOAT.

CSN is great and all but Neil Young is on a completely different level. He is easily Tier One IMO.
