Kafka will say Thriller but the correct answer is Off the Wall.

Off The Wall is classic.

Thriller has a few of MJ's best songs, including Beat It, Billie Jean and the title cut, but the saccharine, cloying "The Girl Is Mine" duet with Paul McCartney weighs down the entire album IMO

I go back and forth depending on mood.

Both are classics.

It's kind of like picking between Sgt. Pepper and any other Beatles album. Thriller/Pepper is the best album; however, there will be some who pick Off The Wall or Rubber Soul/Abbey Road/etc.

I personally like the songs on OTW a little better than Thriller, but Thriller is his Pepper.

OTW....always thought PYT could have been on OTW. The style and vibe fit perfectly.

I think it’s almost an apples to oranges comparison. It’s like two different MJ’s.

So for me, the one I prefer more at any given moment depends on the mood I’m in.

I’ll always be a little partial though to thriller though, because that was the very first cassette I purchased with my own money when I was the 6th grade

cute gif but 'don't stop til you get enough', 'rock with me' and 'off the wall' were brilliant songs.

not to mention every other song was solid too.

I prefer OTW, it's more R&B/Soul than Thriller (Working Day and Night, Don't Stop Til You Get Enough), its ballad is better (She's Out of My Life is better than Lady in My Life), and Jackson just seems to be having a much better time on OTW than Thriller.
