Kacey Musgraves’ album released today, Golden Hour, is excellent. It draws from psychedelic influences and disco. Give it a listen.

She isnt mainstream at all. You actually have to have songs chart to be mainstream.

and if you are looking to listen to a new album from a female country singer, then you need to be listening to Ashley Mcbryde.

It's really good. I've always dug Kacey's tunes.

It’s really damn good.

The producers have produced a lot of local Nashville Indie-Rock records and it definitely comes through on this one.

Co-produced by Ian Fitchuk and Daniel Tashian

Tashian is also in a really good band "The Silver Seas"

Neither of them are "country" producers

Lol, she won CMAs new artist of the year, song of the year. ACMs album of the year, and has had multiple songs "chart" she is very mainstream.

Probably after her third album.

You mean after she became mainstream and signed with a major, mainstream country label? Yeah, that would be the point she became mainstream

That wasn’t what I quoted. I looked back last night and I think she actually won new artist of the year after her fourth album.

She might be "mainstream" but I just looked at the playlist of my local country station and she wasn't played once yesterday (with a new album out). So, I don't think radio country gives her much love.

Really like this album. There's a little psychedelia and disco sprinkled in that gives it a different feel from Pageant Material.

She is awesome. I’ve liked pretty much everything she has realeased. This might be her best album, too. I liked Pageant Material but it wasn’t as good as this one is.

"Mainstream Country Music" is a tag that means something totally else to people than what the OP probably intended. She's as "mainstream" as Sturgill Simpson or Jason Isbell, in that they sell out pretty large size tours, are on award shows, and are on major labels (Isbell is not). But she's not at all what people think of as "mainstream country music". This album isn't really country sounding at all. It's smooth, chill pop mixed with random banjos and daft punk effects. And I like it!
