Not sure what this means but this was posted on their social media accounts along with your date announcements (abroad). Hopefully there is a new album coming?

ETA: New album is titled Villains and it looks like the single will be "Feet Don't Fail Me."

Check out the new website - it looks like they will be doing some similar promo stuff that they did for their last album, in releasing teasers for a period of time before the release of the album. LINK

More being teased and new info released. The new album is named Villains and you can hear a clip of a song (likely the single) titled "Feet Don't Fail Me" at the new qotsa site (skip to about 1:50 in the video on their site). The new website also has a lot of cryptic messages, and it looks like new videos will be released each day for the next 6 days.

The video is pretty hilarious and the small clip of the song sounds awesome. I cannot wait for this album.

I wish these guys would tour around the south. Feel like the last few years has been exclusively international mostly.

They haven't really toured much at all the last few years. Josh was touring with Iggy Pop and some of the rest of the band had a side project. They toured the whole U.S. after the release of their last album.

Yeah I remember that around 13/14. I think anywhere close to me on that tour was Atlanta, but missed out on it. Really hoping they come back around there.

A new song has been added to their site. LINK

It's not the one featured on the last video. This one seems a little different and will throw most QOTSA fans for a loop. I think I like it.

I like I like. Mixes a little bit of a debut album, Rated R and Songs for the Deaf song into one. Not as heavy as usual though. More upbeat poppy blues.

I'm disappointed with the new song. Of course, I want Rated R II. frick working with the guy who produced Amy Winehouse and Adele. That's music for women. Get back to working with Nick Oliveri and Mark Lanegan.

Yeah, probably way too much water under that bridge. I don't blame Josh Homme for not wanting to work a lot with a guy who beat the shite out of a woman and got into a standoff with a SWAT team.

Album has leaked FYI. I'm not usually into getting leaks, but couldn't wait on this one.

Just started listening. Feet Don't Fail Me is awesome. Can't wait to hear the rest.

Honestly, I feel like the music has gotten boring since the end of the Desert Sessions. I watched their Austin City Limits performance and it honestly sounded like Josh was playing through a guitar amp.

The music has changed a lot since Desert Sessions. Songs for the Deaf is my favorite of theirs and I don't think they'll ever top it. I think Lullabies is probably their weakest album, but coincidentally it is probably the album that got me into the band. I think Era Vulgaris is a strong album and Like Clockwork is as well, and explored new ground. This new album is a lot different then anything they've ever done. There are lots of stand out tracks that I think long time fans will enjoy, such as:

Feet Don't Fail Me, Evil Has Landed, and Head Like a Haunted House

They just dropped Evil Has Landed today. Some of you that didn't enjoy the first single will probably like this one more. LINK

I think Like Clockwork is now my favorite album of theirs behind Songs for the Deaf.

Have really liked both singles. but the leak sounded really quiet so I'm going to hold out for something quality. I need QOTSA to be loud as hell.

hard to say that for me. Rate R is incredible as is debut. Songs for the Deaf had so many hit songs you can listen to over and over again. Lullabies has my fav song tho.
