I don't think this album will grab you on the first listen like some of his previous work but if you stick with it, it will start to grow on you.

Broken Record is a fun jam FWIW

After spending a few days listening, Talladega and The Outsiders are my favorite by far.

Ok...so I've listened to this album every day since the day before it came out...so it's been a week now and I'm still not sold. Nothing reaches out and grabs me and makes me say damn that's a great song! I love Wrecking Ball...that's about it. Everything sounds very recycled and like there's just not enough umph in it. I freaking love EC, but this album blows.

It's clearly not Sinners Like Me, but I really don't think this is a bad album.

I think it's a pretty bad album as a whole. there are some bright spots where it works, but it's pretty bad.

Oh this album sucks compared to Sinners like me or Chief, but it grows on you. Dark Side puts a chill in my back like Lightening did so I like that. I couldn't get talladega or give me back my hometown out of my head all weekend. I do like that he admits he is getting old and isn't trying to stay young (I just find it creepy when 40 and 50 year old men are singing songs like southern girl by Tim McGraw), but I wish he would tone down the modern day outlaw crap a bit.

Eric Church is not good he just seems good in comparison to acts like Florida Georgia Line.

Who should we compare him too then? In modern day country music, he is one of the best.
