New album, Life Without Sound, is out in January.

New Single, Modern Act, is out NOW!

New song sounds great, as expected. Looking forward to this one. Easily one of the best rock bands around.

I'll have to hear the whole album. The single is very poppy, much like the single off the last album, but I loved the last album. This new single sounds like some pop rock from the early 2000's. It's kind of bizarre.

It's definitely one of their poppier, less abrasive tracks, but I really like it. I believe Baldi said this record will be gentler than the past two.

This slounds like it could be off the first album, before he added a backing band. Interesting direction, definitely a poppier sound.

Too early thoughts on Japandroids:

True Love and a Free Life of Free Will and Sorry for Not Finding You Sooner are like Continuous Thunder pt. 2 - aka real good

The only two real barnburners are the single and No Known Drink or Drug - not bad but no House That Heaven Built or Sovereignty

Arc of Bar is a real departure - layered with kinda goofy Why Can't This Be Love-ish synths.

All in all an enjoyable listen. Will almost certainly improve with multiple spins

Big fan of both of those. Midnight to Morning and North East South West also stood out on limited listens. Arc of Bar is definitely their biggest departure and risk to date, I need a little more time with that one.

The Cloud Nothings closer, Realize My Fate, is massive. That song would have fit in on Attack on Memory.
