I may have some hearing damage from playing and listening to music growing up. Looking to get some decent ear plugs that can filter out sound at shows without losing too much integrity. Anyone have any experience with ones like the link below? Thanks

I have these Alpines. You can push them way in and cut most all the music or pull them out gradually to find the sweet spot. They aren't perfect and I still pull them out occasionally just to get the full power of the music. But I am happy with them.

In the same boat as you.

I have tried 4 different pairs. I like the alpines (posted above) best.

Much better than the etyomic(sic).

my wife preferred these

But mainly b.c they had a cord for the neck and the alpines don't.

We both agree the etyomics aren't near as good.

the ones you posted are only 12db, the alpines can do up to 22db. the ones my wife liked can get up to 29db.

Most concerts will get up to 130-150db, and over 100db causes damage over extended periods. the ones you linked to basically won't do shite.
