does metal not get on your nerves, shite's annoying after awhile.

Not all metal is equal. Go buy an Opeth album. Listen to some Strapping Young Lad. The worst metal shredding is no more cheesy or wanky than jam bands and their constant noodling.

I'd hate on jam bands too if I lived in Baton Rouge and had to look forward to bands like the Deftones and Bush.

Ok then if they're Americana then we have to find a new genre for American Aquarium, Steve Earle, Neil Young, Justin Townes Earle, Shovels and Rope, Allison Krause etc because there is no way you can say that's the same genre.

Let's just agree on extremely generic faux-folk.

This makes absolutely no sense and only further promotes the stereotype that jam band fans are all asshats with limited musical knowledge and poor taste.

I think I've heard Murder By Death described as "Western Gothic Americana."

Gotta love "genres."

10. American Aquarium- I don't listen to this crap but they have quite the following on here

You aren't kidding. This has to be the biggest collection of AA fans I have ever seen in my life. I've never met a person in the flesh who has admitted to having an opinion on this band. On here, they are like the Drivin n Cryin of the '10s (a band you were Constitutionally required to like if you were a student at a southern university in 1990)

So we are in the '10s, not the teens?

I'd just like an official mod's ruling
