Let me know what you think. I think you will like this based on the musical selections I see from you in recent years on this forum.

I saw them live when they opened for Baroness back in September. I thought they were phenomenal, even though I couldn't really hear the vocals, but for some reason it doesn't seem to translate to their studio recordings.

Granted, I've only listened to Foundations of Burden.

Most of these have caught my attention.

Agalloch is definitely the shite. I'm trying to explore more of Ulver's black metal material, and Panopticon's entire concept is truly fascinating to me.

I'm not a metalhead by any stretch, but I do enjoy some individual acts and subgenres that are out there. Allow me to recommend:

SunnO)))
Spectral Lore

Leviathan's work is impressively brutal, although definitely not something I'd listen to often.

You already mentioned Burzum. I quite like the sparsity of his sound.

Live footage I have seen... the vocals dont work as well live as on the album... but you know how that is.

Such long songs... very spacey and grungy stoney all at once

Youre one of the biggest metal heads on here, but if you arent that familiar with Chimaira's catalog, they'll get the blood going. Im assuming youre familiar with Gojira as well, but they are always interesting.

Insomnium has been my go to band for awhile now. Highly recommend you check them out.
