Friend and I were reminiscing about a show with the varsity. 1992 or 93 the dick Nixon's open for dash rip rock. Was a great show. The Nixon's finish their act by hitting Kurt The jerk in the head with a huge pumpkin. He went down like a sack of potatoes. We thought he must be hurt or dead. Dash went on to play a great show. Bill was dressed in a purple unitard with a bizarre clown mask on, hokey was a blond girl or maybe one of the Nelson twins and I can't remember what Lucky dog luckette was dressed as. Bill's costume was one of the scariest I've ever seen during Halloween. Shows encore was born to be wild when one of the dick Nixon's drove his Harley on stage and rev the engine so much that the whole varsity smelled of exhaust smoke. Just being in the right place the right time I guess. Does anyone else remember the show.

It was 93. I was there. Great show.

But at the time, I think they were the Band Formerly Known as the Dick Nixons, and they were touring. under an unpronounceable symbol based off the handicap sign.

unfortunately not

I'd never heard of the DNs before and was only vaguely familiar with Mojo, so it was quite a new experience for me. It's definitely the most enjoyable club show I've ever seen. Somebody was there with a video camera -- I'd love to get a tape of it.

That's right. It was around the time of prince renaming himself as that symbol. Play on that was funny. I still carve a pumpkin with eyeholes and mouth holes randomly placed in honor of this show. We really thought he was injured he got hit that big arse pumpkin. Kirk was a true talent. My friends brother skip played the trash can.

Dash was very tight win lucky dog on drums. That was a good line up. I saw mojo a few times. Always a great show. One time had an inflatable sheep they were molesting. Would love copies of any of those shows.

How come there are no new acts like that?
