That's why my title says F*** NOLA!

Perhaps I didn't make that clear enough. I'm sorry for the disappointment and confusion.

Steve, you should become a talent buyer. That's the only way to solve this.

Your title did not say F*** NOLA, until after you went back and edited it it.

It said **** NOLA, which was not clear

Believe, if I had any earthly idea about how to become a concert promoter or talent coordinator without going bankrupt, I would be all on it.

This sucks! So sick of so many metal tours skipping Nola. Do you think the perception and demographics of the city keeps some of them away? They probably figure selling tickets will be difficult.

They did play Nola a couple years ago to a sold out crowd though.

Goddamn Carolina Rebellion! Last year Deftness made that festival their Charlotte tour stop. I want to go to a club show not some shitty outdoor redneck nu-metal circle jerk festival at the racetrack.

I was at that show. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to.

Fans were even gypped because Clutch, who was part of that tour, was busy playing Voodoo Fest and didn't show up to the Civic that night.

At least this tour is just late enough in spring to where those of us dealing with college can try to catch a date after the semester ends. I think I'm going to hit up the Memphis show because it's an hour closer than Austin or Dallas.

I'm really looking forward to catching Russian Circles. They played in Baton Rouge the same as night as Anthrax and Death Angel so I wasn't able to go see them.

My schedule works out to where I can actually now catch Carolina Rebellion. It's got a better line-up than Rockville and isn't the week before finals.

If you consider how much a GA ticket will cost in comparison to individually attending each of these tours, it should seem like a no-brainer. However, unless you live within six or eight hours of Charlotte, you'll probably have to make a two-day trip there and back. So that's anywhere from three to five days spent in a hotel in addition to the gas mileage you'll have to spend traveling that far.

As much as I have bitched about every one of these tours, the reality is that most of these shows come just close enough to south Louisiana for all of us to attend. I just wish I had the luxury of living in a town like Nashville where they get A Perfect Circle and Gojira/Opeth on back-to-back nights.

If it was in NOLA I would attend just to see Russian Circles.
