Davis said the promoter of the fifth annual festival in Baton Rouge “is requiring the artists to sign a contract that says they will not play any other facility within a 175 miles radius,” he said, and in a time frame from August 1, 2013 through June 31, 2014

I still can't believe Bayou Country Superfest got King George. I'm actually going to go this year.

What a misleading heading to your post. So one guy speaks for the entire Acadiana region? I read the entire article and found no "whining", only stating the fact that some of the artist are unable to play the Cajundome due to the contract they sign with the festival. Try not to be so over dramatic when posting an article, you come across as petty and childish.

lafayette just got keith urban. while there are country fans there, it seems like the majority of them are just bitching because they don't want to come to baton rouge.

Once again, ONE man was interviewed in the article, he does not represent the entire city. Your post "the majority" holds no water, unless you took a poll showing such. I would much rather prefer an act come to my hometown instead of traveling an hour in any direction. Get off your high horse, it is not about not wanting to go to Baton Rouge. If anything it is about convenience. Would you prefer seeing a show in your own backyard? But I'm arguing a point that does not need to be argued, the Lafayette community is not complaining. If anything, there is overwhelming enthusiasm for the concert coming up. It has been the talk of the town ever since the lineup was announced.
