Listen to Section 80 and Good Kid Mad City. That's the real Kendrick Lamar. To Pimp a Butterfly was some pretty out there experimental type stuff that isn't what most are fans of Kendrick for. I've been jamming Kendrick for a couple years now and was highly disappointed in TPAB

I might check out some of his older stuff then. I listened to TPAB after hearing so much hype and absolutely hated it. I just chalked it up to getting older, but it seems I'm not the only one.

I feel like J Cole and Kendrick are facing the same problem. A couple of really big years, then the next album sucked.
