Watched RHCPs Abbey Road sessions this morning and he did a fine job. A must watch for a fan.

There are sooo many better than Frusciante in my opinion. It's laughable this guy thinks that Trucks puts people to sleep...Just because you don't like it dosen't mean he is not amazing. There is really nothing bad to say about the man.

Nothing wrong with that. We all look for different qualities in our favorite players. I personally look for a player who can bring it in the improv department.

I really don't think there is a such thing as a "definitive best guitarist". Way too subjective. And even if there was, I would have no clue since I know absolutely nothing about the technical aspects of playing guitar.

But for the hell of it, I will throw out there my man, Doug Martsch.

It is fun to discuss. And I give Jimmy Page my vote every single time.

Without a doubt. What guitarist was better than Trey in 1995?

Him and Gilmour each get an equal half of my vote. That has never and will never change

I can think of some jazz guitarists. He was a guitar god in those years but I've never considered him the best and I saw probably 20 Phish shows in 95
