Never been to the Joy. Any seats to avoid? Also, do we anticipate this being the firestorm that the Sturgill Saenger show was?

Long time lurker, first time poster.
I secured my tickets this morning through the pre-sale on Isbell's website. I just checked and you can still get tickets through that pre-sale. General Admission was $42.50 + $8.00 fee.
I went to the Ben Folds show last month at the Joy and had general admission tickets on the floor. I didn't go up to the balcony so I can't comment on the reserved seats. I had no issues with standing room only on the floor and imagine the show will sound great from any spot on the floor. The floor is not sloped or multi-levels but has probably a similar square footage as the Varsity in BR.

They really pack the floor at the joy for sold out shows though, if you like to go back and forth to the bar or have some room I would recommend balcony tickets.

that comment is based on recent jazz fest shows - so hopefully they just oversold those a bit and it won't be as bad this time
