Is there a band out there that sounds similar to TOOL?

I'm really getting tired of waiting on this alleged new album. Are there any bands that sound comparable to TOOL? Aside from Maynard's other bands and some people would say Deftones. TIA

Porcupine Tree
Lesser Key Former Tool bassist Paul D'Amour's new band. This album was produced by Slyvia Massey, who also did Undertow.
Neurosis a bit different but Tool fans might like this

Those are some really good suggestions. Porcupine tree seems really hit or miss from the songs I just checked out.

I was gonna say Porcupine Tree too, lol...
Some of Riverside's music has a Tool flavor to it, other songs of theirs are what Pink Floyd might sound like if they immediately went into the studio after binge-listening the Rush catalog....

Ex Opeth drummer Martin Lopez's band, Soen, gets that comparison a lot. The band is really good. Their album, Cognitive, is solid. I definitely hear the Tool similarly.

I don't think that is true. I don't honestly believe that is their intent.
