I'm in!!!

Just got to Omaha last Sunday. Lucky timing. Picked up what looks like a pretty decent ticket off of stubhub. Just to the right of the stage, 14 rows up from the floor. $96 very happily spent!!

Been 32 years since I saw them. Figured for sure I never would again since they never play Jax. So fricking jacked.

Jealous over here. Nonetheless, have a great time, brother! You know they're going to kill it.

So I've been completely slammed with work here in Omaha since Monday morning and this is the first real chance I've had to get back in...

This show was incredible! They have not lost a step and were spot on the whole night. It's remarkable how Bruce still sprints around that whole stage like it's still 1982. Dude was fantastic. And of course Steve was his normal badass self, as well as Dave, Adrian, and Nicko, of course.

Which does bring to my one negative. This was my first time seeing them with Janick and I absolutely DESPISE his stage presence. I certainly understand him still being in the band since he had put in the time while Adrian was gone and is a good friend and a good songwriter. But that prancing and preening and flinging the guitar around his neck shite... And the leg kicks and that freakin groin stretch. That shite is just so not Maiden to me. And of course Dave and Adrian were cool as shite. Moved around a little but also just stood there and fricking jammed. I've seen the documentaries and such that include Janick and other footage too, but I guess none of those actually focused on him for too long so I wasn't aware of the degree of his ridiculousness. To see him live and actually watch his antics... Just too much. Luckily I got a hold of myself before he ruined the show for me and just started focusing on the others more. Unfortunately I was to the right of the stage and he was the closest one to me.

But with that rant over... Again, just an incredible show by a timeless, incredible band. SO happy I finally got to see them again.

I saw them in KC a couple of days later and they are still great. Bruce though for the 1st time I have ever seen had some problems the last 4-5 songs though. Seemed to have lost his breath and missed many lyrics. The guy is a great performer though and continued to be a great stage presence. Adrian really took over Wasted Years singing a great deal of the song. They are so professional that even when Bruce struggled they still were great. Ghost was better then I thought they would be. Jannick is definitely different then your classic Maiden but he is now a part of the crew and I will support the hell out of him.
