Been lurking round here for a while......hadn't seen anything about this little gem yet so I thought I would bring it to the illustrious music board.

New festival starting up in Virginia during early september, looking to be quite the funky jam fest....not for the faint of heart or "rage bro" type.

Artists include....

Further, String Cheese Incident, Warren Haynes Band AND Gov't Mule, Widespread Panic (just for you music board), The Black Crowes, Neil Young, Keller & Keels, as well as others.

Most are playing more than one set. Would post pic of full schedule but have yet to pop my TD cherry that far yet, so here's the main website.

Noodle on, frickers.

oh and....

nb4: go to OT/frick WSP/phish rules/etc

Its the first year so your guess is as good as mine.

I would make sense that the two stages be facing towards the same center like 120 or more degrees apart so you can hear the music from both stages. Maybe both are wired into same sound system so all music can be heard from both stages.

And no harder than any other festival. Just gotta stay out if you want to get a great spot for the next person. Both stars should be great set up as there are only two and the promoters have experience.

also hope camping areas arent too far from the venues, but we'll see about that. When you plan on heading there? rolling up thursday morning?

sorry for bombarding you with questions haha its basically the only reason i went through the whole account process though. regardless should be an awesome festival with awesome people. see you cats there.

I'm flying into atlanta wednesday night and driving up from there. We will see what time everything is uploaded to kick off and may end up leaving Wednesday night and getting there and set up with enough time to chill before it gets rolling.

I mean he does have a couple panic tour posters up and did go see them at jazzfest and wherever they played afterwards.

Which is a good and a bad thing. I mean he understands why I want to go and he did it himself. But also he did it himself so he KNOWS what I am going to be doing.

Well then I wouldn't tell him you're going to VA either because I'm sure he's heard about it.

I thought of that, so I either have to straight up tell him I am going to the festival (probably what I am going to end up doing). Or lie and have to remember I can't mention that I am going to the festival to any co workers or anything for the next couple months.

I am initially going to just lead with I want to take three days off, Am trying to set up a little trip with some friends for the middle of september and hope he doesn't press.

Anyone flying into charlottesville for this on thursday morning? trying to figure out how to make it the last 35 miles to the site.

Or I could fly to Charlotte and hitch a ride with some friends there, but they need to announce some damn start times so I can see if the flight schedule would work out.

I wonder if tickets aren't selling as well as they had hoped. They keep announcing that the Tier 1 is "almost sold out" whatever that means.
