Taylor Swift?
No offense, but you overlooked Linda Ronstadt.

Bonnie Raitt
Susan Tedeschi
Lucinda Williams
Lou Ann Barton
Linda Ronstadt
Etta James
Patsy Cline
Iris Dement
Maria McKee - might not count. I like her stuff with Lone Justice, not solo.
Jennifer Nettles
Gillian Welch
Amy Winehouse
Annie Lennox
Brandi Carlile
Aretha
Miranda Lambert
Kelly Clarkson - fan of her voice when she does covers. Don’t usually care for the songs she records.

No offense taken
I’m not gonna lie even tho I know the shite I might get about Swift. I have a daughter and I’ve been to couple of shows and she’s talented and I have some of her songs mixed in playlist. There are good.
A true guilty pleasure I guess

But she wasn't a solo artist. She was the lead singer for Blondie. Best female band leaders in addition to Debbie would be Chrissie Hynde.

She released 5 solo albums
Everyone knows she was the lead in Blondie. The band disbanded early on. But got back together much later.
Fun fact- she was the OG female rapper

I don’t know how I didn’t include Joni on my list. Maybe because I don’t really know all of her catalog, but listen to only a few tunes of hers on repeat.
Bobbie Gentry, Carol King, Allison Krause, also all great. I would add Dusty Springfield to that list.

Solid list, but needs Emmylou Harris.

Anyone who says she isn't is just being stupid. You may not like her but she is certainly talented.
I always find it odd that people who gravitate toward alternative musical tastes seem to automatically be dismissive of anyone who has popular success.
