It really is a disconnect between the street musicians and the culture/environment. I'd expect to see those types in Asheville or something. In New Orleans, give me the high school band trumpet/trombone player or the elementary school kids tapping in bottle caps.

Yes ma'am is a pretty good bunch of them. meschiya lake has been known to be out there with a pretty similar attired backing band in the past too....
some are truly terrible though.

I stayed around and listened to one band like that for 3 or 4 songs tipped them and moved on. They were extremely talented. It was hard to leave.
