Saw them in Dallas tonight at the majestic. My 5th or 6th show. My father in law is a big fan, so I go with him whenever they are in the area. Not too bad. Thought I would bring it up since they are being inducted into the HOF in a couple months. Obviously the band is a Frankenstein of sorts, but it's still a good show. Steve Howe is an incredible guitarist, that does not get the respect he deserves. They closed with Heat of the Moment as a tribute to John Wetton.

Sounds awesome! I would love to take my Dad to a Yes show. Steve Howe is one of his favorites of all time.

He has had tons of recognition as a stellar guitarist, The annual Guitar Player magazine poll voted Howe best overall guitarist 5 years in a row, causing the magazine to institute a rule that caused a player to be ineligible after 5 wins in a row, he is always in the top 100 guitarist of all time regardless of who does the poll.

Glad you had a good time, but unless they played a local show (which would never happen, heh), it's not worth the effort for me anymore. When Jon Anderson was replaced, I pretty much lost interest in seeing them live, although I still bought their albums without him. However, with Jon gone, I'd said if the band ever decided to play the Drama album, that'd get me excited enough to see 'em again...but once they actually did play it, it was after Chris Squire died and Alan White got himself sidelined, so it was too little too late for me. I'm sure it's still an enjoyable show 'tho, but I'd miss the Fish too much, moreso than Jon...

Alan White played like 25% of the show last night. He's having some back issues or something. I got to meet Alan and Geoff Downes after the show. Both cool as shite.

Yeah, he recently had back surgery. Glad to hear he was there, b/c I wasn't sure if he'd return or not, depending on how severe it was.

I've seen Yes many times up to 2002, and I was lucky to hear most of the songs on my bucket list...except for any of the Drama songs

I'm assuming you meant Squire. Howe certainly looks as dead as the Crypt Keeper, but he's definitely alive, lol...

Oh shite, yeah, Squire.

Howe raged that night. Definitely wasn't dead

I saw them for the first time at the House of Blues in New Orleans like 9 years ago, and I thought he was the crypt keeper - Then he played Clap and I was blown away.
