I am a beginning bassist. But i would love to jam and be in a band and play somewhere at Spanish moon or something, then get laid . But where do you meet other musicians. And i like all kinds of music. Where can I get a cheap saxophone too?

Go to BR shows, talk to the bands. A lot of local musicians have multiple projects going on. Maybe focus on some of the songwriter things like at Dyson, The Guru, Jolie Pearl, etc. People who are just starting to write songs probably want people to play them with.
Get a feel for who's doing what, and it'll probably give a you a better idea how to get your own thing off the ground without starting blindly like with craigslist ads (which aren't necessarily bad.)

Show up to blues jams and open mics.
Huey's on Tuesdays
Blues Room On Wednesdays
Phil Brady's and/or the Guru on Thursdays
Brew-ha-ha on Sundays
Look on Craigslist for bands seeking musicians. Bassists are very much in demand.
Bandmix.com
Facebook group for baton rouge musicians.
Musicians are not hard to find to play with.
