Man that verse from Chance last night on SNL was just fire. He outdid Kanye imo. For those who've listened to the album, does it have a new Kanye feel to it ala Yeezus? Or does he go back to MBDTF or even Late Registration?

It seems like the his whole career. There's there's a little MBDTF, a little College Dropout, a little 808s, great album.

Its top 3 for me along with 808s and MBDTF

Not really liking the full album but REALLY like 4 or 5 songs a lot. The album doesn't seem to have any real "theme" to it, it's kind of a mess...but looking at the CD cover maybe that's the idea.

Waves (Track 10) quickly became my favorite current song and might still be.

FML (Track 11) feels like something I've never heard before. It's awesome and different and new and weird.

Real Friends (Track 12) isn't amazing but it just feels like a really solid song that I'll be happily listening to years in the future.

Don't bother listening to it on really good headphones or a high end stereo system. It was Mixed/Mastered very poorly. There is a ton of distortion and digital clipping. Feels like a rush job, maybe because the album was rushed out after he kept delaying it?

Overall I like the album but don't love it. I feel like Kanye's best rapping is behind him or maybe it was a conscious decision. Most of his verses are short or have very choppy flows that don't really allow him to build a lot of momentum.

He's more of a musician now and puts together better songs but he doesn't flow like he used to and it's kinda disappointing.

Then there's the bullshite lines about TSwift and Ray that just felt wrong. Like Kanye is above that and they weren't called for or needed.
