I heard a song the other day and am having a heck of a time trying to track it down (for reasons that will become apparent in a second).

The only part I can remember is that it is a female vocalist, and the chorus goes:
"na na nah na na na
na na nah na na na
nana nana
nana nana
na na na"

I tried to google it but there are a LOT of songs with na na na in them!

It isn't Natalie Merchant's "Thank You" but the vocalist sounds very similar and the overall "vibe" is close.

Maybe a little more upbeat and a little more lilting.

I think I have also heard it in recent(ish) commercial as well.

Thanks in advance!

Edit to add:
I just googled 90s vocalists and went through a bunch.
It's not:
Natalie Imbruglia
Sarah McLachlan
Tori Amos
PJ Harvey
Meredith Brooks

Also not that Kylie Minogue song, catchy as it is.

Isnt there an app you can sing into to find the name of the song?

Well there should be.

"Can't Get You Out of My Head" is a song recorded by Australian singer Kylie Minogue.

Is it Roxette's "The Look"?

Or Sheryl Crow's "The Na-Na Song"?

Because - if not, there are only about 15,000 or so other options in Rock/Pop music over the last 50 years.

Actually tried singing it into Shazam. I would have to be a much better singer for that to work!

Edie brickel- searched through her stuff. It's not any of her early songs and now it seems she just has a lot of Steve Martin banjo playing in it.

Yes, it is very close. So close I will search through some of her songs to see if it was something else she did. This song has the same airy quality, but not so alternative.

BTW- I am taking these suggestions seriously and following up on them. I do appreciate the leads.

Did you research the radio station's playlist?

Maybe something like this?

Its Natalie Merchant-Kind and Generous.

I'd bet a large sum of money this is the song you are talking about.
