I want to do better with my audio. Right now I listen to music on an echo device. I want to up my game. I have a bunch of cds and would listen to those or whatever other format I ought to try. I humbly ask for yall music experts to point me in the right direction. I am also independently researching this. But I like getting advice and opinions from tigerdroppings in all aspects of life. Especially politics.

Total cost is the most important piece of info here

For me that would be up to $1500.

I realize these things can be very expensive.

Silver Yamaha A-S501 - $450 - Crutchfield

Q Acoustics 3020i bookshelf speakers - $381 - Amazon

WIIM Pro streamer $149 - Amazon - if you have ANY streaming services
Skip if you don’t.

Pick up some Q Acoustics speaker stands and hook up a dedicated cd player or dvd/bluray player (for your CDs).
CDs are cheap now - stick with those and streaming if you are already using Spotify or APPLE MUSIC, etc.

I second this suggestion. I was going to mention the same. He has several shows where he puts together multi price point systems (low, moderate, high).

Also vouch for Cheap Audio man. Based on his recommendations, I bought a pair of Elac speakers ($450 for the pair) and they are amazing.
