I have heard from a few friends that are usually pretty on point with their predictions regarding phish tours that 2 nights at Lakewood in Atlanta is almost certain.

They also think that there is a very good chance they go to birmingham for a night after that (would kind of surprise me but I'm not pretending to have any info). I assume that means oak mountain but I guess it could be downtown as well.

Anyone else heard anything like this? Anyone else care?

That fricking sucks. Lakewood has a prehistoric sound system. You can't hear for shite there. Verizon Wireless @ Encore Park in Alpharetta is so much better it isn't even funny.

Much better venue as well.

Also I hope that either the Southhaven,MS or Austin,TX dates turn out to be true.

Lakewood awesome as long as you get in the pavilion, which isn't difficult of you get on it early as the pavilion is probably the same size as oak mountain

I don't think MS is going to happen. I wish it would, would be closest to me. Also I haven't heard the Texas rumor, but I am fairly confident they will be playing in Oklahoma City.

I was in the pav and the sound was still terrible.

I haven't heard anything about OKC, and to be honest really doubt they play the zoo again.

Could this be the same time Hangout announces their 3rd headliner?? I mean, Trey will already be there

I'm really excited about tour this year though (as usual )

Tonight I'm listening to this jam mix I put together

Oak Mtn Rock and Roll->The Lizards->Denver Carini->YEM->Undermind->Madison Square Garden DWD->Piper

took the composed parts out and it is just instrumentals, save The Lizards. I can upload it if anyone is interested.

Way to be optimistic But yeah I've already heard all the arguments about how that fest couldn't handle the phish crowd and yadda yadda

I prefer to listen to the concerts as is. Also the music was weak, the sound in there was perfectly fine from my pavilion seat.

And just repeating what I have been told from a friend who is usually pretty good at knowing where the tour is.

I'm usually the same way. With the lack of consistent jamming recently though, I took some of my favorite bits from the end of 2012 and mixed them together. It was the first time I had done it and I think it sounds pretty good.

I'll start uploading it

And I dont think it is the crowd. I don't think that festival can really afford phish at this point. I mean they only sell what 30,000 tickets? It wouldn't be worth it to put up the money for phish when you couldn't even hold the people you are trying to attract.

Unless the promoter is a huge phish fan and just wants them in his festival which I doubt.

Hangout can definitely afford Phish. Phish would never play at a same venue as TAB, that just doesn't make sense. I see Phish being there eventually, but a 1 set Phish show is like only inserting the tip. However I'm perfectly fine if I'm wrong about this

When Phish plays festivals they almost always play a 2 set show. One notable exception was late night Bonnaroo 2009, but that set ended up being a 3 hour set anyway.

If you had read the post you could have seen where I said it is not a financially sound decision, which it is not. Why pay the price tag for phish when you won't even be able to sell tickets to most of their fans?

Unless of course the guy running the show simply wants to have phish in the festival.
