The Bach Cello Suites by Yo Yo Ma got me through law school studying.
I still work a lot to music, and while I like to try other stuff, classical, film scores and vocal jazz are the easiest.

Throw a little Rachmanninov into that mix. I used to listen to his music a lot driving in the vast desert expanses of the southwest. It just seemed to fit. Of course I listen to all the composers you listed as well.

I love classical music - I wish I knew more about it though.

Just finished listening to a Naxos CD (8.553402) of English 20th century composer William Walton.
It's tremendous! The works included are:
1) Johannesburg Festival Overture
2) Viola Concerto
3) Symphony #2
This is very upbeat, virile music, and totally recommended.
