At that price the family ought to throw in the recording gear. It's not likely they will disassemble it just to move it to a new location, I'm sure most if not all of it would end up on the auction block.

I would imagine any prospective buyer could turn it into a running studio and entice some famous artists to come record at Zappa's house.

Why can't those boys play any nice songs??

It is a 8000sqft house in Hollywood hills valued at up to 6 million, who knows what the Zappa factor is worth, but they are hoping it adds another 3 mil. Anyway, the article says the recording gear and everything else in the house is included. A buyer could recoup a lot of money auctioning off memorabilia to Zappa fans.
