Flooded guitars: advice wanted

So I have a epiphone Sheraton II pro semi hallow body natural color that took about 6" of water in the last flood. I took the pickups, bridge, switch, jack, pots off the guitar and they all look fine, cleaned them up no corrosion, was some surface rust on the bridge and the screws but cleaned up fine.
Now what I'm worried about is the guitar body. The guitar was on a stand sitting up right, and I know the neck didn't get wet only about 6" on the bottom of the guitar. You can see the water line on the finish. What I don't know is, is this guitar worth trying to safe? I have it hanging now drying out. Is there anything else I should do, or just wait and see if it warps?

Yea that's why I took everything out. That link recommends getting the finish off but I also read conflicting stories about the finish on the sheratons. Some say to scrape it some to sand it. I just don't know.
