Damn I miss this band. Anyone want to commiserate and talk about them? If there're better songs than Mykonos and Blue Ridge Mountains, I haven't heard them.

Their self-titled album is incredible, perfect from start to finish. I enjoyed Helplessness Blues, but it never struck me as much as the first album.

I'm with you. The self titled is amazing. I've probably played it straight through a few times a month every month since 2008. I'm exagerating but not by much.

I still keep it in rotation and probably will forever. Instant classic.

I haven't listened to as much of them as I should, but I appreciate the fact that they inspired and heavily influenced one of my favorite groups, First Aid Kit.

First Aid Kit--Tiger Mountain Peasant Song

The above video (made when the girls were barely 15 & 17) garnered much praise from Fleet Foxes and sent the girls on their way to international stardom in the Folk/Americana genre.

I think I actually rather Helplessness Blues to the self titled, even though White Winter Hymnal is still my favorite track of theirs. Both albums are really good though, as well as the Sun Giant EP.
