Finally seeing the last of the "Big Four"

I had seen Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth each by 1991, with more times for each to follow. Somehow, 25 years later, I still have never seen Slayer. Well I'm in Indianapolis for work and that will change Tuesday night. Within five minutes of getting my deployment e-mail a month ago I checked Pollstar and saw this show and when I did, I was literally shouting and pumping my fist. LOL.
I do wish I could've seen them with Hanneman and Lombardo, but it is what it is. Anthrax and Death Angel as openers really ramps it up as well. This show is gonna be pretty fricking epic.
Seems like a pretty cool venue too.

I saw Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax together in New Orleans a few years ago. Slayer played all of Seasons in the Abyss, Megadeth played all of Rust in Peace. It was pretty cool. Anthrax and Death Angel are coming to Baton Rouge next month.

Holy CRAP that had to be awesome. Might be my favorites for each. Rust is definitely my favorite Megadeth album by far. In fact, that was the tour I saw them on in '91. Actually it might have been '90 because it was right before Christmas.

And yeah I knew about this. THAT is incredibly cool. I'm jealous man. I would LOVE to see those two at the Varsity. And props to the Varsity for really stepping up their game in the last couple of years. That show is right between the Atlanta and Dallas stops on the Slayer tour.
Tuesday will be my second time seeing Anthrax this year. Saw 'em open for Lamb of God in Atlanta in January. Awesome show.

Actually just occurred to me... I also saw Testament for the first time this year, in Atlanta. I would seem most people rank them and Exodus as the next two in line. So I guess I can now say I've seen all of the "Big Six".

Jax- I was in the same boat until last summer when I finally caught Slayer live here in Houston. In the 90's saw Metallica, Anthrax & Megadeth numerous times- those were some good years.
Better yet, I turn 60 in December! No one believes me! I am a prime example of how you can still enjoy live music- you never know what show I may pop up at!
