The Fillmore coming to Harrah's Downtown

I have been hearing this rumor for some time and never thought it would happen, especially with the influx of restored theaters downtown. It will be interesting to see who gets booked here out of the gates.

Is the State Palace still coming back? Amazing how that town went from next to nothing to too many venues in just a few years.

Heard the State Palace developer wanted that real estate just for the retail space. Who knows if that one ever comes back.

Smart move on the Saengar dude's part saying it is gonna be another Yes, Gallagher, Oak Ridge Boys or Foreigner venue. Actually cracked up at that one.

Yep. Its going to book the same acts that frequent the Ms Gulf Coast casinos. Basically, classic rock groups that now might still have 1 original member left in the band. Won't hurt the other venues at all.

I can't see them not going after the bands that are moving up and have passed through HOB NOLA before, or consistently sell out HOB NOLA. I've been to the Fillmore outside of DC and it's legit.

This is the only venue that I'm still waiting for to come back.

So many good memories and shows there.

That's what I thought L'auberge was going to get at first; the same circuit that all the Biloxi casinos get. That is until I found out their booker was going to be that underacheiver guy that was booking at the Varsity when they started tanking.

Good for New Orleans. Keep Baton Rouge lame.

Hard Rock Biloxi>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Lauberge BR. Lauberge Lake Charles and Paragon both get way better acts than Lauberge BR. If this new place can get the same acts as Hard Rock I'll be happy.

Lauberge's booking guy is atrocious. The Varsity has done a complete 180 (in a good way), since that douche left.
