I will go to bat for Semisonic. Highly underrated band. Singing in my Sleep is an excellent single as well... which about 20 people heard.

If there are still cut out bins, pick up a copy of Feeling Strangely Fine if you like power pop. You won't be disappointed.

Yea, my opinion of them is skewed. I had a wierd cousin named John (they called him John Boy like on the Waltons ) that looked just like the Soul Assylum singer. I hated John Boy and in turn hated Soul Assylum and their singer who looked like him. Plus the Runaway Train video with the message about "have you seen these kids" at the end that pissed me off.


Thinking back on it I probably had a lot of adolesent angst back in those day. I need to forgive Soul Assylum, John Boy, and the runaways.
