Nice, Geto Boys

Met those guys in Pine Bluff when I was in high school. Went down there to see MC Breed and the Geto Boys on a school night. My parents were out of town, and a bunch of my friends all agreed to stay at my house. We drove down and were the only white kids there.

Two hours into the wait for MC Breed, they still hadn't started. The promoters had trotted out a couple of local acts to try to entertain the crowd but things were getting ugly with fights breaking out all over the place. We'd already had two guys behind us offer to loan us their pieces because they said we were going to get killed being there. Then one of my buddies went to the bathroom and got robbed at gunpoint while in the bathroom. At that point, we decided we'd had enough and that MC Breed nor the Geto Boys were actually going to show. So we bailed.

As we were leaving, we see a big tour bus pull up in the back of the auditorium. My buddy, Steve, who was absolutely insane talked us into approaching it. We did, and the security let us on the freaking bus for some reason. We get on the bus, and there is Bushwick Freaking Bill in all his diminutive majesty. We tell him what had happened to us, he shook all of our hands, told us peace out, then kicked us off his bus.

We didn't actually get to see the show but who freaking cares? We shook Bushwick's hand and got to tell everyone our insane story at school the next day.

That was my jam back in the day. That said, his fascination with little girls is definitely a problem.
