I didn't know until just a few years ago that the Yardbirds did Dazed and Confused before Zepplin did. I probably should have known but I didn't.

Then I looked it up and the Yardbirds didn't write it either, it was some guy named Holmes who once worked with Joan Rivers which I found pretty surprising

Dancing in the streets. When I first heard the Van Halen version, I didn't know it was a cover.

It turns out that quite a few Led Zeppelin songs are actually barely-disguised amped-up covers of old blues numbers.

Must have been fun telling your friend in the 80s that Judas Priest song Diamonds and Rust is a Joan Baez song

The Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown)

I always thought Judas Priest wrote it.

It's a Fleetwood Mac cover.

Most all of Diver Down is cover tunes or recorded tracks from earlier years. There are only two, maybe three new Van Halen songs on that album.

Where Have All the Good Times Gone - (The Kinks)
(Oh) Pretty woman (Roy Orbison)
Happy Trails - (Roy Rogers And Dale Evans)
Big Bad Bill (Is Sweet William Now) - (Dolly Kay)
