Travis Tritt is a better singer than Stapleton.

So he is a wannabe Travis Tritt.

I love Travis Tritt

with the Stapleton types, the song is "about Stapleton"

with people like Tritt, the song is about the song

No one hates him. He isn't doing anything in country music that fans who have lived long enough haven't seen from artists of past decades.

He is a good singer but he doesn't have the wow factor that makes you think I haven't heard this before.

Tritt I think was in the class of 89. He was different than the rest because he had soul. If Stapleton came out in the early 90s then he would be Tritt in a lot of ways.

I don't have anything against him but just the fans who never heard of country music think Stapleton was the beginning and end of country music.

The first time I heard of him, I wasn't impressed because I heard a lot of country music over the years that had raw grit and soul. This is why he is another Travis Tritt because his voice is similar but not different in a voice I haven't heard before.

Stapleton is a chubby dork mama's boy who was selected by handlers

They had him grow a ridiculous beard and dress like Davy Crockett so he could appear to be "outlaw"

Usually all that comes with political stipulations. We've already seen that with fake arse Eric Church, the gun control advocate

The biggest crime he has committed is singing George Jones or David Allan Coe songs and making people believe he was the original artist.

And stealing the arrangement for his biggest hit straight off of Etta James' "I'd Rather Go Blind".

Confusing post is confusing.

What are you trying to say? That GA is an obvious influence on Mr. Stapleton, but Stapleton isn't even in the same galaxy, talent-wise?

Seems like a weird melt, but you do you, baw.

A: not his biggest hit and B: if we are going to start disqualifying musicians for borrowing themes and melodies, all the blues rock guys have something to answer for.

He’s not a wannabe anything.

He’s a “I don’t give a shitabe”
