Not playing brown sugar anymore in concert is stupid...just look at all the HORRIBLE rap music and lyrics in their songs..
Keith Richard's doesn't agree with not playing the song...when will all this political or socially correct crap end...
I guess once we get rid of all the democrats...

I can understand that they are sick of dealing with the constant BS from the woke crowd, badgering them about the song. They may benefit in the short run from their decision, but it's a net negative in the long run for them and society as a whole when you give in like that.

Really never understood the lyrics.

Gold coast slave ship bound for cotton fields
Sold in a market down in New Orleans
Skydog slaver knows he's doing alright
Hear him whip the women just around midnight

Brown sugar how come you taste so good?
Brown sugar just like a young girl should

Drums beating, cold English blood runs hot
Lady of the house wonderin' where it's gonna stop
House boy knows that he's doing alright
You shoulda heard him just around midnight

Brown sugar how come you taste so good, now?
Brown sugar just like a young girl should, now

Ah, get along, brown sugar how come you taste so good, baby?
Ah, got me feelin' now, brown sugar just like a black girl should

I bet your mama was a tent show queen
And all her boyfriends were sweet sixteen
I'm no schoolboy but I know what I like
You shoulda heard me just around midnight

Brown sugar how come you taste so good, baby?
Ah, brown sugar just like a young girl should, yeah

I said yeah, yeah, yeah, woo
How come you... how come you taste so good?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, woo
Just like a... just like a black girl should
Yeah, yeah, yeah, woo

The Stones must be experiencing testicular shrinkage in old age (lack of stone). They have become everything they railed against. Their catalogue is replete with “problematic” material:

Hey Negrita
Some Girls
Slave
Sweet Virginia

Stray Cat
Midnight Rambler
When the Whip Comes Down
Memo to Turner

It’s what they built their career on.

I guess I will be a cynic here, but I had not heard any of the controversy before this announcement. Seems to me as if it's somewhat more of an attention-grabbing ploy to me.

When The Rolling Stones bow to the PC police voluntarily then we are truly lost. And I say this as someone who is finally going to see them for the first time next month.

They should be removed from the R and R Hall of Fame since they are obviously blatant racists.

I for one am now able to sleep at night for the first time in many years, knowing that the world is a safer and more justiceier place because of this righteous decision. Stunning and brave. I am literally shaking.

What sort of crap is this?? The Stones or rock'n roll would not exist with this weak attitude...I blame Jagger's new wife. Glad I went on the 2019 tour..

When rock bands don't play songs because some people don't agree with it, they forfeit any rock status.

Honky Tonk Woman is about a church lady!

Lyrics
I met a gin-soaked, bar-room queen in Memphis
She tried to take me upstairs for a ride
She had to heave me right across shoulder
'Cause I just can't seem to drink you off my mind
It's the honky tonk women
Gimme, gimme, gimme the honky tonk blues
I laid a divorcée in New York City
I had to put up some kind of a fight
The lady then she covered me with roses
She blew my nose and then she blew my mind
It's the honky tonk women
Gimme, gimme, gimme the honky tonk blues
It's the honky tonk women
Gimme, gimme, gimme the honky tonk blues
It's the honky tonk women
Gimme, gimme, gimme the honky tonk blues

You left off Sweet Black Angel one of my favorite Stones songs of all time.

I left it off because it’s woke:

We had never met her, but we admired her from afar,” Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards said of Angela Davis, talking to Harper’s Bazaar writer Brooke Mazurek in 2017.

Richards and Stones singer Mick Jagger wrote the band's 1972 song "Sweet Black Angel" about Angela Davis, the Birmingham native and controversial civil rights activist.

It won't end with the Brown Sugar decision:

Far Away Eyes

I was driving home early Sunday morning through Bakersfield
Listening to gospel music on the colored radio station
And the preacher said, "You know, you always have the
Lord by your side"
And I was so pleased to be informed of this
That I ran twenty red lights in his honor
Thank you Jesus, thank you Lord

Miss You

When the phone rings
It's just some friends of mine that say
"Hey, what's the matter, man?
We're goingna come around at twelve
With some Puerto Rican girls thats just dying to meet you
